How Praxis ATS collects, uses and protects the personal data of candidates.

Version 2026-09-20

Who processes your data

Praxis ATS operates this careers site and is the controller of the personal data you submit through it, within the meaning of the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Postal address: the address published on our website. Write to the address published on our website with any question about this notice or any request concerning your data.

What we collect

What you enter in an application form — your name and email address, and optionally a mobile number, postal code, current job title and employer, and a LinkedIn URL — together with the CV file you upload and the text extracted from it. Only your name, your email address, your CV and your agreement to this notice are required; the rest is yours to leave blank. When a recruiter later works on your file, we may add interview notes, application history, and the details a placement in this market turns on: your nationality, your right to work in Switzerland and the expiry of the permit that grants it, and the workload you are looking for. We do not ask for your marital status, your religion, your health, your family situation or a photograph, and you are asked not to put them in your CV.

Why we use it, and on what basis

To assess your application, to match your profile with open roles, and to contact you about opportunities. Where you applied through this site, we rely on the consent you gave by ticking the box on the form. Where your file reached us another way — an email you sent us, a professional profile you made public, a recruiter you met — we rely on our legitimate interest in running a placement service, and we tell you that we hold a file. Providing your data is never a legal obligation; not providing it simply means we cannot present you.

Automated processing

We use an automated service, running on our own infrastructure, to read CVs and to draft candidate summaries and role-fit explanations that help recruiters review applications faster. These outputs are suggestions reviewed by a person; no decision about your application is taken by automated means alone, and no profiling determines the outcome of an application on its own.

Who can see it

Our recruiters, and the client company you are being presented to once a role requires it — a client sees your file only after we have decided to present you to them, and sees your name only in the form we send. Beyond that we use service providers who process data on our instructions and nothing else: the hosting of this platform and its database, the storage of your CV and the documents attached to your file, the mailbox and calendar service our recruiters work in, the delivery of the emails we send you, the telephone system that logs our calls without recording them, the address lookup used by our forms and our error and activity logging, and the automated CV reading described above. We disclose your file to an authority only where the law requires it. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Where it goes

Your file and your CV are stored in Switzerland or the European Economic Area. A small number of the service providers above may process data outside that area; where they do, the transfer rests on an adequacy decision or, failing that, on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses together with the additional safeguards the FADP requires, and we will send you a copy of the safeguards on request.

How long we keep it

We keep your file while it is relevant to your search and, by default, for 24 months after our last meaningful contact. After that it is erased automatically: your personal details are removed and your CV is destroyed. Where you were placed through us, the file is kept for ten years from the placement, because the law that governs business records and licensed placement agencies requires it.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive the data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable file or have it sent to another provider. Write to the address published on our website and we will answer within 30 days. Exercising these rights is free and costs you nothing in the way we treat your application. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner; in the EU, the authority of the country you live in.

Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the address published on our website. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it, and it does not require you to give a reason.

Cookies and what this site stores on your device

This careers site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, loads nothing from a third party, and does not track you across other sites. Two things are kept by your own browser and never sent to us on their own: how many roles you chose to list per page, and an application you started but have not sent, so that reloading the page does not lose what you typed. A cookie is set only if you sign in to the platform itself, and it exists to keep you signed in. Clearing your browser storage removes all of it, and nothing on the public pages depends on it.
